Bandiere (flags)

This project begin from a reflection about the gesture, spontaneously did from people in the months before the war in Iraq, to hang outside their home windows a flag in order to express their disagreement about that war. I started from that gesture and I asked people who live in the building around the inner court that hosts the gallery, to create for me their own flag. Every image became a true flag and was hanged outside every person’s window as a self-portrait shifting the political act into a very intimate image of those people.
